News 【Announcement】Penghu Taiwan Good Travels Ma Gong Lake West Line has transformed into community-guided tours. We welcome you to make reservationsride with us
Since its operation in 2016, Penghu Taiwan Good Travel has been providing guided tours on the Ma Gong Lake North Line. In July 2020, the Ma Gong Lake West Line was added, and quality guided tour services were introduced. In 2022, Penghu Good Travel continues to enhance its services by transforming the Ma Gong Lake West Line into a community-guided tour, where local residents share their stories and showcase the local culture to visitors.

The Ma Gong Lake West Line, which was launched by the county government on July 1, 2020, provides guided tour services through the Penghu Tour Guide Association, a local non-profit organization. The trial operation of the Longmen Closed Fortress started on October 29, 2020. During the trial period, the county government provided guidance to the community in terms of self-management and conducted relevant tour and operation courses. On January 1, 2021, the Longmen Closed Fortress officially opened and was managed by the community. The guided tour at the fortress, provided by the community partners, received positive feedback from visitors, making it a successful example of community-guided tours.

Based on the success of the Longmen Closed Fortress, other communities expressed their interest in joining the community-guided tour initiative. Therefore, starting from January 2022, the Ma Gong Lake West Line will be fully transformed to include local-guided tours at landmarks such as the Longmen Closed Fortress, Nanliao Community, and Guoye Brick Kiln. To strengthen the tour guide skills and service quality, the Tourism Office conducted a cultural tourism guide training course in Huxi Township on December 18 and 19, 2021, to train community tour guides.

As for other attractions in the itinerary, such as the Linhoushu Shell Church and Penghu Marine Geological Park Center, passengers can use the Penghu Good Travel website's audio guide system to listen to online tours while riding or visiting the attractions. In addition to showcasing geological landscapes, the Penghu Marine Geological Park Center also offers a VR experience of the Blue Cave and a multimedia room where the geological film "Homeland of Black Stones" is screened. The exhibition hall also features a rock-themed café, providing visitors with the opportunity to explore the exhibition, experience VR, and enjoy coffee.

For visitors on the Ma Gong Lake West Line, lunch is available at Nanliao Restaurant (interested individuals can select this option on the Penghu Good Travel website's reservation page). However, the cost of meals during the tour is not included in the ticket price and can be self-prepared. Starting from January 1, 2022, there have been slight adjustments to the schedule of the Ma Gong Lake West Line. Passengers who have already purchased tickets are advised to double-check the schedule to ensure they don't miss their intended departure.
