News 【Announcement】Eatingdrinking are prohibited inside public transportation vehicles
⚠️Restrictions on eating and drinking are imposed on land, sea, and air transport vehicles.

In response to the recent development of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Ministry of Transportation announced that starting from January 23, 111, eating and drinking are prohibited inside public transport vehicles. This measure aims to prevent the spread of the virus and reduce the risk of infection among the public.

From the 23rd onwards, passengers are not allowed to eat or drink inside high-speed trains, regular trains, intercity buses, ships (except in designated dining areas), and domestic flights. If individuals have physiological needs such as drinking water, taking medication, or breastfeeding, they should promptly wear their masks after consumption.

Additionally, individuals with eating and drinking needs within the designated exceptions may temporarily remove their masks during the mealtime while maintaining social distancing from unrelated individuals or with appropriate barriers in place.

Failure to comply with these regulations may result in penalties according to Article 70, Section 1 of the Communicable Disease Control Act, with fines ranging from NT$3,000 to NT$15,000.
