The Tourism Bureau stated that Taiwan Good Travel is an important policy promoted by the Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications, in collaboration with the National Scenic Area Administration or local governments, to provide bus services designed specifically for connecting tourist attractions. It is the ideal choice for those who prefer not to drive and wish to travel comfortably using public transportation. Since 2016, Penghu County has been part of the Good Travel operation, launching the Ma-Gong North Ring Line, with the Tourism Bureau responsible for marketing and promotion, and the Public Bus and Ferry Management Office in charge of the bus operation.

In July 2019, the Ma-Gong North Ring Line introduced on-board tour guide services, receiving positive feedback from tourists. In the same year, it was awarded the Tourism Bureau's "Service Quality Improvement Award" and two awards for "Excellent Drivers/Service Personnel." In July 2020, the Ma-Gong Lake West Line was launched, and foreign language tour guide services were provided on the 5th and 20th of each month. Additionally, the Penghu Good Travel website was developed, ticketing channels were expanded, and multiple ticket types were introduced. In 2020, both the Ma-Gong North Ring Line and Ma-Gong Lake West Line were rated as "Excellent" by the Tourism Bureau. Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, Penghu Good Travel continued its operations and was honored with the "Excellent Unit" and "Excellent Route" awards from the Tourism Bureau.

Starting from January 2022, the Ma-Gong North Ring Line of Penghu Good Travel is serviced by tour guides from the Penghu County Tour Guide Union, ensuring high-quality on-board tour services. The Ma-Gong Lake West Line, on the other hand, provides guided tours by the local communities, offering authentic local stories and making it the preferred choice for exploring the cultural heritage of the settlements.
